Newbie Post - NGD...Almost Here... Axis on the Way!

I'm a Newbie here on this forum. I have been on TGP, HCF and MLP for some time, however I recently acquired an 09' Axis which shipped out yesterday and will be here on Thursday the 27th. It's the waiting that's a bummer. The only difference is it will not have the D-Tuna on it... which is fine with me.

In the meantime I have been lurking here and reading many of your posts and learning more about the instrument I'm about to own. I must say I'm very impressed with the calibur of posters here... very helpful, informative and welcoming indeed... kudos to all! The previous owner sent these pics, so here is a sneak peak. I'll post pics and an official NGD thread after Thursday.

I have been interested in the Axis or the SS ever since I picked up a Peavey Wolfgang awhile back. When this came available and the offer was made I had to jump on it. It was also the exact color I was looking for. Thanks.

You're most likely correct. The pic with the sun shining on the guitar gives it some red coloration and made me think that it was a vintage burst. She's a beauty!

It's on the Little Brown Truck "Out for Delivery!" I think it's harder waiting on delivery day than it was two day ago. I'm 48, but I feel like I'm 7 waiting for Santa to show up. No wonder I trade guitars so often.
