I guess I'll just call it "research", as opposed to "vegging out in front of the computer". Doesn't sound so bad that way! :)

Alex!

Feel free to "research" as long as you like! Welcome to the forum. We anticipate those JP pics soon :D

Welcome Alex!

I made the same mistake a year or so ago, thinking 'I might get myself one of those Luke guitars'.

By last summer I had 2 EBMM's, then a manly 4H Bongo bass followed soon after, and in the fall I added a third guitar making 4 EBMM's in total.

I'm now awaiting manufacture and delivery of my JP6 which should be happening in the next few weeks.

I've also got my eye on a Silo and maybe even an AL (thanks Robelinda!).

Really, if you value your bank balance I'd be careful just how much 'Research' you do. Mind you, you do have a few other guitars there which can happily be sold to help fund things :D

Actually, Scott, the EDS-1275 is an 18 stringer! Doubleneck SG, Alpine White, exactly like the one Alex Lifeson from Rush uses on "Xanadu" in the "R30" DVD.

I think I just gave away where my "AlexL" screen name comes from...

Real name is Eric, by the way. :)

Hey Eric,

Big Rush fan, too. I know what guitar you are taking about now. I like the double neck SG. Keep that one. Sell the others.:D

Jack:

Oh, definitely. The EDS is never going anywhere. I wanted one for far too long before I could finally afford one, so I could never let that one go. Even though its th emost impractical guitar I own...

Don't be so sure.
There have been people here that have sold there so called prized goodies because it no longer made sense to keep them.
Some have been expensive vintage axes and some, extreme sentimental guitars! Time will tell.

you da new man

Greetings, everyone.

This is my first post, and I thought I'd introduce myself to everyone. I have been a member of the Jackson forum for about 4 years, and the policy for newbies is to introduce yourself in your first thread, so here goes...

I'm 39, and have been playing guitar since high school. Went through a period in my late twenties/early thirties where I didn't play that much, but got back into it in a big way about 5 years ago.

I started playing bass about three years ago, taking lessons for about 2 years from a Berklee grad.

I primarily play Jackson guitars, but I played a JP6 at NAMM two summers ago, and haven't been able to get that guitar out of my head. I am hoping to buy a JP6 before the year is out.

Here's a brief equipment list:

Guitars:
Jackson SLATQH
Jackson RR1T
Gibson EDS-1275
Fender Montera

Basses:
Lakland 55-01
Roscoe SKB-3005

Amps:
Mesa M-Pulse 600 w/ Eden 410XLT cabinet
Zwengel Banshee all-tube head w/ Zwengel 4x12 cabinet.

I thought I'd join this forum, hang around, and learn a thing or two about a brand of guitars I know very little about. Hopefully, by the end of the year, I'll post a picture of a new JP6.

Hey Brent,

The way you were fiddlin' with it on Saturday, I had a feeling you might end up with it. So, did you get a good deal from the owner. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha:D :p :p One of the perks of owning your own shop.:D

So now that you've added one does that mean you will let Beej buy the Blue Axis SS.:)
