newbie type question aimed at EVH guitar owners.

I'd really like to know how difficult it is tracking down and buying a hardtail EVH guitar.

I also really like the faded ones.

So you EVH collectors (experts) out there can you let me know whether they crop up very often?

I have an EVH hardtail in trans gold I bought from a collector a couple of years ago, which got me hooked on the Axis. So I had to buy an Axis Super Sport in trans gold to match the EVH, and then when I was at the winter Namm Show in 06, I had to buy the all Rosewood Axis with the Floyd Rose wang bar.
So I thank EVH for turning me on to Ernie Balls! The 08 Namm Show I was just at, only had a couple of Axis out and I didn't notice anything new with that model. Is there a new finish color out on them this year?
I would love to have one of them in a Pearl White or Cream color finish in an Axis Super Sport. Does anyone know if these finish colors can be ordered on this model? I wonder what would look cool, maple or rosewood fret board?

There were only 600 made, 200 in each colour of amber, purple and red. They do crop up here and there, but rarely in the UK it seems. Sorry, my one is not for sale!

where are you in Nashville? It would be cool to compare collections. Axis fan here myself.

I know the Axis is available in some of the opaque finishes, and the LE color for this year is available. But I think the cream color isn't available. There was a cream color used for the 2005 LE, but I haven't seen the Axis in that color.

The purple hardtail on eBay is pretty cool. It looks like an x-ray the way it's faded. I think he might be asking a bit much, but it's a buyer's market with EVH's.
