Hi folks,
I just bought a Music Man Luke! I saw the forum on the EB page and thought I would drop by to say Howdy. I am really out of my element as I am also a Tom Anderson freak and forum member and have played his guitars exclusively for over 18 years, but Steve Lukather is my hero. I actually met/hung out with him last year and he told me all about this axe. I finally played one up in Maryland for the first time Friday and LOVED it. Got it shipped yesterday (Luke Blue) I hope to chat with you guys in the future about the attributes and playability.
Briefly about me. I have been playing over 30 years.
I play in a regional variety band on the East Coast and we do about 80 to 100 dates a year. Some of my other equipment includes; Anderson guitars, Rivera Chubster 40, Peavey Classic 30, Barber, Fulltone, Meistersinger and Boss effects, I use the Shure ULX wireless and Shure PSM monitors, Sennheiser e901 mics.
Looking forward to chatting..
Shaun

Shaun welcome to the forum.

As you realise we are all passionate about EB guitars - but that's not to say that we cannot see the merits in other good gear as well.

I'm sure a guy with your level of experience will have a great deal to offer to the forum. -So stick around and enjoy talking to some great people.

Wow!

Thank you all very much for the gracious welcome! Dstockden, I am from Richmond,....you?
Coilinboy I noticed you are from "the Motherland", back in the 90's, I played a gig in County Cork and got to see a good bit of Ireland for the three days we were there, I can't remeber the name of the hotel, but it was one of the nicest I have ever stayed in...made me proud of my heritage! Love Harp and Smithwick too;)

Ah!

Colin!
It was Hotel Dunloe Castle where we stayed, but the gig was in a lesser but still nice hotel near the downtown cork area. Surrounded by lakes and palm trees! it was a corporate fly date for an American company taking the heavy hitters on holiday...I did the Ring of Kerry tour too....it was all good..
Anyway, just pulled Luke out of the box today and am having to adjust the action for 10's as it was factory set for 9's. It's almost there..
I used to own an Axis Super Sport in Purple, but it wasn't for me. I am rather looking forward to this weekends gigs. I hope I wasn't too jaded..I demoed the Luke through a Bogner Shiva at the store..I'm sure my Rivera will sound just as nice? Many thanks continue to all who are kind enough to welcome me..literally from all over the world..

Welcome to the forum Shaun!

I haven't been to Richmond since the last time I toured with Virginia Opera a few years back. I really need to plan a day trip and go up there to visit a few guitar stores.

Enjoy your stay here! And remember that your guitar doesn't exist without pictures!
