Sorry guys, new to the forum. I'm in the market for the ultimate guitar and have been researching Musicman for quite a while. I'm sold on the axis supersport and will be special ordering one very soon. My first question: Does the vintage tremolo stay in tune?
Secondly: How advantageous is the piezo bridge? I'm strongly considering the upgrade.

Welcome to the forum, you won't have any dramas with keeping the trem in tune. Remember though as with all trems (Floyds included) they must be set up correctly and have reasonably fresh strings.

As for the piezo that's a personal decision only you can make. Do you really need it? They do add a little more weight to the guitar and how would you run it, through a separate amp or blended together in the same amp? They sound very nice.

Thanks Colin. Big help. I'm playing thru a Fender cybertwin se. Acoustic simulator is real nice. I'll probably ditch the piezo. musicman online rep says that all guitars come from factory 'already setup'. Should I trust this to be accurate?
Thanks again.

I have guitars coming in all the time and I have never had a problem. And that's to Australia! Having said that if the weather changes dramatically like from a sunny day to a rainy day etc you may need to ever so slightly adjust the truss rod. That's easy with the truss rod wheel though. Looking forward to seeing it

My first MM Luke (bought through Colin!) was perfectly set-up -- and in perfect tune -- right out of the box. I can't say that of any other guitar I've ever bought (except maybe the MM Stingray that Colin sold me!).
