Next EBMM

I've got a really nice Dark Cherry burst ASS but I need another Ball - you know how it goes. Right now I play my purple Wolfgang Special live but I'm getting sick of the Floyd.

I'm seriously considering this guitar: eBay Link - Purple Axis Sport

Any other suggestions? The local GC had a red Sport with maple neck but transferred it before I could make an offer. It played really nice. Whatever the subtle difference between the Axis neck and the Wolfie neck is the Axis just suits my hands better.

Band is a rock/top 40 cover band (www.myspace.com/romanholidayband) and we are starting to go on a 80's pop slant but also play plenty of newer stuff. Also adding some NIN over then next 2 weeks. The clips on the myspace page are my Eggie MOD50 with a Palmer PDI-09, we are now going direct and using IEM's. About to switch from the POD XT to a Voodu Valve.

Edit: I don't really have a thing for purple guitars. I love the carmel burst on the 20th Anny Silo's and Honey Burst.

Those old sports are killers! FYI, I've found the HSS ones to be much brighter than the HHs. The 500k pots brighten up the single coils too much. I had one briefly and considered putting in 250k pots plus an extra resistor that could be switched in when the humbucker was engaged.

If you can get that one for a good price go for it, if you don't like it you can always flip it.....If you want to get a used one keep checking the bay, or your local GC.
I would recommend another Axis SS if you like the your first one, you will love your second one, they are just like having kids. Go with the maple neck if you already have a rosewood it should be a bit brighter.
