NGD: 2005 Axis Super Sport

Carbon Blue Pearl - Possibly the hardest color to photgraph but absolutely amazing in real life. I had not seen this color on a ASS before and knew I needed it. It has been modded to have a three way switch and coil splitter which allow for 6 choices instead of 5. The seller wanted to say it was factory but I confirmed with EB that it was not. Killer birdseye neck as well.

Wow, carbon blue really suits it and the switching upgrade sounds great too. I had two carbon blue JP6's in the past and it's a very classy colour in the flesh but yes, quite difficult to photograph.

I must say that looks awesome, I also have that finish on my JP and love it. Really nice looking Axis and that color just goes great with a rosewood board, first time I have seen that finish on one.

I have always liked it in photos and was surprised to see a Super Sport in this color. It just looks like a rock machine.

I am in the process of moving to a new house tomorrow so hopefully once things settle I can take a few more photos.

Here is a slightly better shot for getting the color. It's amazing how this color goes from dark to light depending on the situation. It's a shame they discontinued it.

And here is a shot of the guts. It sure looks neat enough to be factory. Whoever did the mod did a great job.
