Can someone tell me what the Parallel/Series switch does??? And I know the difference between parallel and series, but I want to know what it does to the sound.

Wow! Where do I find one of those? I think the key here is "girlfriend". A girlfriend will give you a guitar, a wife will threaten to leave you for buying one. Not that I speak from experience or anything, cough cough.

series= humbucker sounds
parallel= more single coil sounds

or somethig like that
