Found a deal via the Used Guitar Center website that I simply couldn't pass up.
It was a difficult process though. Here's a hint: if you see a EBMM you like on the used guitar website, don't bother emailing for info, just call 'em.
I called and was told they would send photos. When the photos didn't come, I called them again (an hour and a half later) and was told the guitar was sold already. I asked how this was possible and the person I spoke to said that the sales person shouldn't have told me it was available since someone came in and just bought it.
I was really upset, but figured I just missed out.
Then an hour after that, I got an email with a photo of the headstock and nothing else. Huh? I emailed the guy back and asked if he had any other photos of the guitar. No response. I didn't bother calling the guitar center as i thought it was probably just a mistake and I didn't want to feel heart broken again about a deal that never should have been.
The next day was a Saturday. I woke up to 5 photos of the guitar in my inbox. I took a look and called Guitar Center and purchased the guitar. Shipped on Monday and arrived here in Hawaii today:
Don't have a lot of photos since it was raining outside and I didn't have a lot of time to take pics. The guitar is in excellent condition with just some pick scratches near the single coils. All the hardware is nice and it's set up for 10's (I like 9's so I'll fix that later).
I already have a custom Black Sparkle Luke I, so this original Pearl Blue Luke I is almost like the one I owned when they first came out. It's a later model with the battery door. I love the Black Sparkle Luke I, but I really wanted this color as I've always loved it!
Now I need to decide if I'm gonna keep the Black Sparkle Luke I or not... hmmmmm.
