I walked into a GC in December on a whim, saw the light shinning down on it from heaven, or perhaps it was a standard issue spot light angled just right. Anyway, so there it was.. One insane quilt top with flamed maple neck, both flamed and bird's eye in it. So, I picked it up, all the while shopping really for a Mark V (see the irony here?) Ok ok.. I'll make this story short, I did get the Mark V, and put the Axis on layaway with a GC rep. Two months later, and such a long wait, I finally took her home last night Paid in Full. Thanks Ernie Ball, this thing is AMAZING! The tone is phenomenal. It is so fun to play and let me tell ya, I wish that I had grabbed one of these 15 years ago.

Here are the pics: enjoy!

Thanks everyone!

Such a great guitar, it moved up to being my favorite of all of the BFR's/JP6's/JP7 that I've owned. I have a request already submitted last night for the DOB. Aziah should be able to help on Monday or Tuesday.

You need to immediately, if not sooner, replace that volume knob with a proper tone knob.

and that's all I have to say
Not sure what you mean. Is the Volume knob on here not original? It looks proper, actually everything on here seems to be tip top. If it's another knucklehead thing like 'that top sucks', I haven't heard of it yet! LOL! please advise. thanks again.

EvH had the knob on the volume pod labeled Tone as little joke, since the single pod does indeed adjust tone ;).

Also, get yourself some Birchwood Casey Tru Oil and Gunstock wax as recommended by EBMM for maintaining the neck. Great stuff, I do the treatment every 18-24 months and its great.
