NGD - Blue Pearl Silo Special

So after a very disappointing attempt at buying a rosewood neck Albert Lee, my week was made better by the arrival of this gorgeous Blue Pearl Silo Special HSS.

Really liking this. The humbucker was changed for a Duncan Distortion...that might be something I alter, but otherwise, a great feeling, great playing guitar.

That's a guitar I really, really love a lot.
Me too I swapped the bridge Virtual PAF with a Superdistortion on my HSH, to remain in DiMarzio environment, and that did not disappoint me at all!
There's a perfect equilibrium among pick-ups now.
I just needed some more beer to make it perfect to me.

I'm not sorry to influence any G.A.S.

I like the body size, but in the regular Silo, not a 24 fret fan...the 22 frets on the Special are right on.

Now, to decide whether I replace the Duncan Distortion, all of the pickups, or none at all.

Fire opal pickguard came in today and I love it! I guess I need to make a decision on the pickups soon.

Necro post from almost a year ago...I finally got around to changing out the guard and pickups. I ended up going with Bareknuckles Abraxas humbucker and Mother's Milk singles. Pretty pleased with that.
