Here's a video I spent awhile working on, the entire cover was recorded with this same guitar sans the lead bits which I used another special guitar for :D

I've had this for a little while now, and along with the other guitars I'll post in the next few weeks have been neglected NGD wise :D Some of you may recognize this specific guitar, I was lucky enough to grab it off of Travis M. of Threat Signal. Super nice dude and absurdly talented, I just couldn't resist when he posted it for sale. Being a huge fan of EBMM it only made sense haha.

Pics and then a brief review after!

So yeah..

....ing ridiculous if I do say so myself! I still have no clue why let this thing go, it's absolutely stunning. The Koa has an awesome figuring to it in the center and it's bookmatched perfectly. I actually prefer it to my previous Rosewood Neck Koa which has much darker figuring, but this looks excellent to me overall.

Same specs as a Regular Koa besides a few changes
- Gold Covered BKP Nailbombs
- Curly Roasted Flame Maple Neck
- Rosewood Fretboard

Possibly one of the coolest sounding instruments I've ever tried, perfect tone for rhythm playing in my opinion. It's fat and chunky but the Nailbombs and Roasted Neck give it all the clarity I could ever want. The Mahogany Body on it is gorgeous with EBMM's "Island Burst".

I can't believe he kept it in such good shape even after he toured with it playing for Threat Signal. He really did appreciate and take care of it, I even offered to sell it back to him if he ever missed it because I got the impression he didn't REALLY want to sell it haha.

I may not show it, but I grew up on Metalcore and Groove Metal. Besides Killswitch/AILD/ABR, Threat Signal was one of the bands I would jam so much. So it's really cool to have something from an artist and band I look at so highly.

Now can someone tell me why they dont make it at least an option to get the Koa JP with an unfinished Maple Neck?
I'd order one as soon as i had the money
But the painted Mahagony Neck always turned me away from that Model

How are those BKP Nailbombs? I like the Juggernauts and I'm getting back a guitar with Black Hawks today.

Thanks guys :D it's definitely a perfect example of what the guys do at EBMM :D

Holy flamed necks, Batman.

Yes, he kept it in mint condition! What a beauty.

Yeah that was so awesome to see, he took it out on tour an everything. Loves his guitars :D

Is that Mark Holcomb's JPX?

;) For another day sir! Coming soon :)

Thanks dude! It's like a trunk where we store all the remote controls and electronics/batteries for the living room. It's definitely nice!

Its hurts my eyes its so amazing... AWESOME buy

Haha thanks dude!

Nothing wrong with the painted Mahogany neck, having the finish all over the neck is absolutely stunning. And EBMM's gloss neck finishes feel smooth as glass, never had an issue with mine at all. But I believe the custom orders are for endorsees and special occasions only, getting something like this usually isn't possible.

They're my favorite BKPs for low tuned and heavier music, I have a couple other sets of BKPs in my guitars. I have Blackhawks in a few, a VHII/Black Dog in my BFR JP Solar Burst, which is a more vintage sounding set but has a great unique character. The Juggernauts are cool, but I don't find myself loving them for rhythm tones as much as other pickups, they are great for clean and lead playing though IMO.

Nice one Jonathan!

Thanks dude :)

I know, their painted Necks are pretty nice. But with the prices in Europe I just don't want to pay 4K for a Guitar I'm not completely satisfied with. I know that it will always bug me, to a have a painted Neck.
Plus you have to have Luck, to get a nice Koa Top. I've seen some JP Koa's that have almost no Figure.
I'm not trying to diss EBMM, but I don't think that adding at least an Option for their standard Oil and Wax Maple Neck should be to difficult, since they are already made to Order.

No offense, but let's not go into that here. I don't want to get my thread locked because of you saying that lol. I've owned 20+ at this point and they've all looked stunning IMO. More than enough retailers photograph their guitars and you get to pick out what you want from the instocks the stores have.

And moreover, it's a signature model. Not a standard model that you get more control or options with. If John wants to have his BFRs with Oil/Wax necks, it'll be made like the JP15. But if he doesn't, then it doesn't get added into the roster as an option.

You now have me GAS'ing and on the hunt for one of these, damnit! Haha

Definitely keep an eye out, I snagged this by luck essentially and knowing Travis when he asked around for interest to sell it.

Where do these people post them up for sale??!
And also, how much did you give for it? It's amazing!

Just from knowing Travis and he inquired with some people about it to gauge interest, luckily I was there and was able to snag it!
