Picked this up from GC today. AL HH in Hot Rod Red. One of the reasons that I got it was because my first electric guitar that my mom ever bought me 12 years ago when I started playing was a Fender Strat in the same color. My mom passed away in 2001, and as soon as I saw this guitar, it reminded me of my mom and how she always did everything in her power to provide what me and my brothers needed, as well as getting me into music and opening the door for what has become my favorite hobby.

Let me just say that this is my first AL, and this guitar is unbelievable! The resonance from the mahogany body and rosewood neck is just something that needs to be experienced in person. I initially played this at the store through a Mark V half stack since that was the closest thing to my rig at home, and it sounded excellent. The pickups are hot enough for the hard rock/metal stuff, and the 5 way is excellent for clean sounds and everything else. Love this guitar!

Phil, great story, it's nice that the guitar reminds you of your mom. Sorry to hear about that, I'm sure it still hurts.

Hot Rod Red, EXCELLENT!!!
