Ok, so this is not a custom shop, but rather a special build..

Oh, I am currently euphoric out of my mind happy!

Here's the short version of the story:

I always loved the light colors on quilted maple.. Like the GC 46th ed., but also the tobacco burst.
I really think it makes the quilt kinda pop out with more punch.
I noticed all my fav. colors were discontinued, so I started hanging around the forum ALOT just to source a used one, rather than buying a new one in a different darker color.

Nothing really came by, so in the frustration I started a new thread, asking BP if we would see them in prod. line again..
Well, God bless the man, he answered me, and made my day...
He replied, "If you order it, I will build it for you".

So, I sure did.. and here she is.. Kitana is finally home :D

I wish to thank mr. Sterling Ball for this huge favor.. I really feel honored BigPoppa, and you gave me a beautiful piece of art that will last for many many years to come. I played them all, reg. brand and shape.. and this is by far the best guitar for me to use.
Thank you SO much.. I'm in awe.

Here's a few crappy pictures I shot after dark..

Just look at that stunning finish! :D

Wow! I remember BP saying "if you order one, we'll build it" and the man sticks to his word! Just another example of EBMM being a particularly special company. Congrats on the unique purchase -- it is beautiful.

That looks fantastic sir! An absolutely beautiful piece of art, which I hope sees a lot of play time!
I guess with all that in mind, I don't have to be so down about not being able to get a Emerald Green JP.

I am very happy that you love it so much....

Oh, I love her to death..
The Neck is incredible smooth and fast, and the tone block.. omg, that was a genius idea!
The different aspects and woods really come to place and gives me ALOT of options reguarding techniques and sound..
Last but not least, the piezo.. Highly comfy system for both bridge and ears.
I am really really impressed.

I owned a few earlier models from 'John'.. Good sound and quality, but sadly my mind rejected that body size :(

But this one... Feels VERY comfy :D

Well.. Off playing my baby again..! :D

I'm curious how many more emails BP gets now; "If I order the Emerald Green, will you make it for me? :D" ^_^
Haha, all jokes aside, this is extremely nice of EBMM to do for you!

I'm also very devastated that the Tobacco Burst/Emerald Green/Amethyst were discontinued as one of those would most likely have been my next one if they were still around. The Island Burst is nice, but it's not the same.

Congratz on an awesome guitar! :)

One thing i've learned over the years is that BP is really a man of integrity and what he says goes...

if he says order and i'll build it... he does... not many would be that kind but BP has always been one to go above and beyond the call of duty for us knuckleheads...

Love the company!

This is an awesome little tale :) Real happy for you man, beautiful piece of axe!

Out of interest, why were those colours discontinued, simply lack of sales? I always loved the amethyst, got a bit of a penchant for purple things. Just not nurples. Purple nurples ain't good.

I remember that thread and BP's post vividly! It was just another testament to how incredible this company is. The things I read on this forum continue to amaze and inspire me. Just wow.
