Well I waited 7 months for this baby (order got messed up at dealer) however when it came in I was blown away by the finish but also how the streaking in the rosewood board matched the finish giving it a kind of 'tiger' quality. I believe EBMM customer service went the extra mile on this one for me due to the wait. The pics don't do it justice but the figuring of the maple on the back of the neck is spectacular. The guitar sounds and plays spectacular and I love the piezo. I have played two gigs on it so far and it's great, very stable tuning even with whammy bar abuse and it bounces as good or better than my Floyd Rose equipped guitars.

Wow! You got LUCKY with that fretboard. I normally find rosewood boards really dull, but that one is unique.

I have always found the Tangerine finish the wildest of all the JPs. I have never seen a JP with the piezo system, but with no JP shield at the first fret. I wonder if MM is phasing out the first-fret shield like they did with the BFR 12th fret inlay.

No, I opted for no shields, hence the dot inlays too. After all I'm not J. Petrucci. If you want the shields it's an upcharge.

Yes, you can really abuse the whammy on those and they stay in tune very well. You got a sweet ride there!

Love that color! Sweetwater had one or two in that color with the rosewood neck... So delicious looking! Congrats! Love me some JP guitars :)
