I have always been a EBMMEVH, Tribute, and Axis fan. I have owned a Steve Morse but it did not even feel close to the feel of a EVH, and I sold it a short while later. I was set in my ways for close to 20 years now and never ever thought of buying a different Ernieball model. I have lots of Eddies and Axis, and whole bunch of other makes of guitars, but now after today I have a new to me JP6, it must of been a wall hanger in the guys house because the trem arm was still sealed in the envelope. I got a call who works at the local Music store and he said he has a JP that was just traded in and its mint. I went and plugged it in to the new 5153 at the store and Holy Fack, it was love at first fret. LOL Anyways I picked it up for $1200 and it even has the piezo.

Now I am looking forward to getting the Majesty too. Who would of thought.

It's taken me a long time to get along with the JP neck... But I am actually thinking about an original JP at some point... Same as what you just picked up! Nice score

I was getting so sick of maintaining Floyds. After using MM JP/Majesty models, I see no need to ever futz with a Floyd ever again. I have had FR'es on guitars (real, original FR'es) that didn't hold tune as well as these JP models.

I'm the same way. I love my Axis guitars and deal with the Floyd on them, but any new guitars (sans another Axis) will have a vintage trem or a JP it.

Congrats! Mystic Dream is a great color for the JP6

On my Axis, the locking nut has been replaced with a Graphtec nut, and it has locking tuners instead - I definitely like that more than the Floyd and locking nut on my Charvel. If you make sure to stretch the strings properly when you change them, it holds tuning just as well as any other guitar with a floyd. :)

Great looking guitar. I swore off Floyd's several years ago, too much hassle....I just think MM terms are the best; easy to maintain, stay in tune great, and sound really good.

In my opinion, the best finish on the JP6..I am biased, having one myself ;)...Really good choice, and it was my first MM.
I could not believe guitars could achieve perfection, till i bought my first one..With the flick of a switch, you go from raging leads,to soft acoustic sweetness..The piezo sounds so good, that people actually think i have an acoustic guitar!
You got a great deal there!

Thanks Guys, The guitar is great, bid difference in feel for sure, Piezo sounds awesome. The Trem is great, I have never had a Musicman trem go out of tune when you use it. I gigged last night and Im taking it again tonight, I think it willbe on the rotation for sure.
