Finally got enough funds gathered up to order and get a new 7 string paid for. I'll post more pics tonight or tomorrow after I take some better ones of it and it and the 6 string BFR. It's been kind of a weird ride, but I'll finally have only Music Mans on stage... and of course both of us have all Music Mans on stage now, so we're definitely a MM heavy band. lol

I do like it a lot. I'm going to put 9s on it... I'm just not a fan of 10s, but I want to keep the b string like it is, so I'm going to have to think about the graduation I need.

I was also very surprised that the trus rod was pretty much all the way relieved. The neck was very bowed. I don't know if maybe someone tried to set it up, or if maybe the rod was relieved for shipping maybe due to colder weather? I don't know enough about that stuff, but I'm going to call Customer Service next week and see what they recommend with the strings and setup with all that. I'm not a great setup guy... I can keep a guitar about where it needs to be, but I can't really dig in and properly set up a guitar like pros can, so I'm going to call the pros and ask. lol

I did tweak it and put a full turn and a half in the rod and got the neck straight (not at all talking any sort of neck flaw here by any means) and I lowered the trem about an 8th of a turn. The trem wasn't level in the pocket, so I think someone went to adjust and do a store setup maybe.

My only real problem right now is the 10s so I think I'm close, I'd just like to talk through the final touches with a service guy.

After I get some more funds saved up, I have to send in the 6 string. My piezo switch broke due to a little fall and it needs a fret leveling, so when it gets back, if worse comes to worse, I'll see if I can duplicate those angles they send it back with. They sent Jacob's Luke back playing like... stupid good, so that will be a good learning experience I think.

The color of this thing is simply stunning, and it looks like a Lamborghini or something... purple fighter jet maybe? LOL The back of the neck is fantastic just like my 6 string, and it just feels amazing.

Haven't plugged it in yet... that comes at practice tonight. :) I'll give my impressions on that later... I'm interested to compare the Crunch Lab to the D Sonic... I have a feeling it will be just what a 7 string ordered because the previous 7 string I had wasn't quite as saturated as I wanted... I think these two guitars are going to really compliment each other well.
