Just got it yesterday from Joes Guitar shop(Detroit area). They did a very nice set up on it. It's really like new.
I have had 2 Luke II's in the past. For some reason I had some hand pain when I owned them. I prolly bailed to early on them though. I have always loved the necks on these but was afraid the small profile was causing hand pain. I think the hand pain was just me adusting to the neck and I was playing a ton then.
I feel like the frets a bigger on this for some reason. The frets have no wear or they have recently have work done on them cuz they are uber smooth. The single coils are somewhat hotter and less stratty than the ones on the II. They sound better with high gain to me. Even though I swore off Floyds recently I had to have it. I love it. Thanx Big Pappa for such great instruments.

It's a happy member of my family now

Congrats. Luke 1's are good aren't they!
The neck's on Luke 1's are skinnier. The single coils are SA57's. They are hotter versions of the SA's. Not the SLV's found on Luke II's. Of couse not having a tone pot means there is no load on the circuit, so you'll hear the extra output from that too.
The frets feel sort of the same to me, but i've just sent mine in to be refretted (after 18 years!) so it's bound to be a bit different when I get it back. :)
