Alright, I drove 3 hours each way to get this from a guy from Craigslist (very friendly guy, said he had a collection on Petrucci models and sold most of them). This thing is is next-to pristine condition. I could not find any dings or chips on it. Only flaw is that the volume knob gets stuck on the up (boost ON) position (the workaround trick is to pull it slightly and then push it back down). Purchased for $2500 but I had to drive three hours each way. Still, a way better deal than most online.
Plays wonderfully as expected. Picture below also has the Majesty 6 (2019 Enchanted Forest) I got in Portland from Craigslist after I met John Petrucci in San Jose. This is getting out of hand; now there are two of them! On both, the stainless steel frets feel so smooth and the upper fret access is excellent. Two things that I really like about these two Majesties compared to others are 1) matte black hardware which I suspect is more aesthetically durable than chrome (I've always liked Ibanez' matte powder cosmo hardware) 2) the Majesty logo is NOT the ugly cheap-looking block type they used between 2014-2018.
I realize I never posted an NGD on this forum for the Majesty 6 when I got it. Here is the text that I posted on another forum at the time (July 2023):
This is the first time since 2008 since I have purchased a non-Ibanez electric.
I am a huge DT fan and have been for about ten years now. Own all the albums and, since moving to the US (Oregon), I have travelled to California for the past three shows. In fact, today I just got back from San Jose because I went there to see the show on Monday. The show was incredible. They brought Animals as Leaders and Devin Townsend with them as well. I had an aisle seat on John Myung's side (wonder what happened to his head), so I generally had a great view. Not only that, but I got access to a post-show meet-and-greet through a connection I made at the Oakland, CA Feb 2022 show and got to meet John Petrucci, Jordan Rudess, and Mike Mangini as well. I had absolutely no idea I was going to meet some of my favorite musicians when I woke up that morning.
So this morning, I was sitting in my hotel room in San Jose. I was browsing Portland's CL and decided to finally pull the trigger on this Majesty that I have previously seen. I called the guy in the morning from San Jose and picked it up in the afternoon after my flight had arrived. This is the MOST expensive instrument I have ever purchased (paid $2300), but it is in near perfect condition except for two dings that I found on the edges. Not bad considering these are like $4k new. I am very pleased with the color as well. Not only does it remind me of my RG3120 (twilight blue), but JP also played the same color Majesty for Pull Me Under at the San Jose show, so that was cool. This was always going to be my first choice color and I am glad I got this one. I used EB's serial number lookup tool and found out this is a 2019 model.

- I really like the piezo system. Sounds so relaxing. I am a little frightened about the repair bill if anything goes wrong though, but that won't stop me enjoying it.
- I bent the strings considerably when noodling on it and it holds tune really well. I was surprised!
- There's just something about this guitar that roars and makes it more aggressive than my slew of Prestiges w/Dimarzios...I have not figured out what it is yet.
- I'm not really new to the Dreamcatcher and Rainmaker pickups since I have the 7 string versions in my RG1527, but they sound so clear.
- Except for the gloss finish on it, the neck feels similar to my Prestige necks. The familiarity is nice.
- As a Prestige aficionado, I appreciate the form-fitting case.
Dislikes:
- The Majesty inlay at the first fret is a little over the top, but that's about it.
