Hey everyone, just to share my new Majesty 7 Polar Noir. Got it it from Sweetwater after months of debating what model to get. The guitar is absolutely awesome, a definite improvement over the last one.

A little review:
+ The Illuminator pickups are better balanced than the Liquifire/CrunchLab
+ The access to the higher frets is incredible
+ It is unexpectedly light and comfortable
+ The neck is almost as fast as the original unfinished on the JP6
+ The mate finish is very comfortable
+ Back to the original hard-case (lighter and less delicate than the BFRs)
+ Switching pickups and piezo is faster and less noisy.
- The tremolo bar feels a little bit more rigid (possibly because it is a 7 string)
- The coil-coil option is not as good as the JPXI

Still trying to get used to the new string and learning a few riffs here and there, exceptional work, thank you Music Man & John Petrucci.

Congrats! Just took a break from playing mine (arctic dream) to cruise this forum :)

We have very similar gear - except instead of the JP6 I have a JP13 7! Same amp/cab, too!

Sweet man. Don't worry about the 7th string, I've been playing guitar for 19 years and have been playing 7 strings for 15 of them.... It takes a little getting used to but it's really a cool thing once you do!

Just wish that my mystic dream had the JP shield inlays, when I got it I didn't noticed because of the over-excitement!
