Let me preface this by saying, this guitar is such a perfect instrument and I feel lucky that I even got a shot at getting it. Between the circumstances when I was offered this among a few other JPs by Mark and me running around for funds, to it getting lost by Fedex  but that's a story for later! Here's a video I just worked on using it and a few other fiddles!

Many of you guys may know what this is and it's history, but I'll spare you the details. It's a custom JPX he had commissioned from EBMM when he was still endorsed by them, he later had a Roasted Maple neck made for it. The maple neck is absolutely stunning and has so much birdseye to it all over. Another cool appointment is that Mark left his Dimarzio Customs in the guitar and included them along with a crazy amount of strings/picks, and a sick strap for me to use :D

Like I mentioned earlier, it got lost for some reason by Fedex for a few days after he shipped it off to me. Without notice or alert/update, I can only assume Fedex dropped it back off at Mark's home days after and luckily the guitar was safe and sound. It arrived once he shipped it the second time to me and it was all good :D Mark was incredibly nice and cool to talk to.

It's interesting playing both his signature PRS and this JPX side by side. They're incredibly different guitars from top to bottom, but I have to say I prefer the JPX since it kind of just fits me better.

Hope you liked the videos/pics! :wavey:

Awesome! I had no idea Holcomb had a custom JP. Seems weird for one artist to have a custom version of another artist's guitar... But I guess the JP is so ubiquitous now that it's gonna be household name for guitarists; "strat" "LP" "tele" "JP". Anyway, very cool. And as always, phenomenal playing. I think if I practiced as much as I researched guitars and spent time on these forums, I'd still only be half as good as you lol.

Wow, what a piece. I'm gonna go home right now and get some silver spray paint for my JPX!
