Been looking for one of these for a while, they never seem to come up for sale. Turns out they only made 1,300 or so of them apparently? Made in the good ole' USA just like every other Musicman.

The Sub1 boasts all the typical Musicman quality, just cheap pickups and kind of a no-frills workhorse approach. I have a set of Bareknuckles lying around that have been waiting for a home, and this is it. It plays amazingly well, the locking tuners hold as well as the Sperzels on my other guitars, and the neck is great. Looks like the few people who have these were right to rave about them.

To get a guitar of this quality for so cheap is bonkers. Highly recommended if you're in the market for a solid USA built axe on the cheap. I have a BFR rosewood super sport and in all honesty there isn't a big quality difference as far as playability goes. really great axe.

Thanks guys! It's pretty close to mint. hefty too! I should have the bareknuckles installed by the weekend and then it'll really scream. It's such a well built instrument, it's aching for some high end pickups.

The Sub was my first EBMM, I plays as good as the others. I use it for practice and alternate tunings, mines a hardtail.
