NGD - Piezo - DI or preamp for piezo only output?

I just picked up a 2003 ASS with piezo bridge (inbound - see pic), to use for my solo acoustic/electric act. Anyone using similar with either a preamp or just a DI into the mixer for just the piezo output? I will be using a NUX Cerberus for the electric output and clean effects for the piezo. Another option would be to use direct out on my Mesa 5:25 Express +.
