Since being on this forum I have met many nice people who have become friends, Bryan and Mario being the two best ones that I talk to on a regular basis.
I told Mario that I wanted to buy the purple ax40 when it came out I just love purple guitars.
The next thing I know Mario says to me don't worry about it this one is on me which is one of the nicest gestures I have ever gotten from someone , he said he just wanted to get this guitar for me and he did I tried to talk him out of it but he very much wanted to do this for me.
His generosity in many things is amazing and he is a very talented graphic artist.
Because he gave me a guitar I also figured I should pass one of my guitars on to a young musician which I will be doing on the kids birthday.

Mario thank you very very much for a beautiful guitar and one with a very special meaning behind it and it plays and sounds so beautiful.

What a kind gesture-

i'm never surprised to hear the kindness and generosity that comes from this forum. To me it's like a giant family and we all support and encourage one another as we can. It's really incredible!

And what a beautiful guitar! I just love it that's one of my favorite AX40 colors.

What a generous gift. Mario is one of the nicest guys I've met in my life.

I'm really glad that Gio, Mario, and I met here on the forum and became friends in real life, too. Not to mention all the other cool people I've met here. There's more to this forum than just guitars and strings...

Awesome Gio! Glad you like the guitar. I confess, I did get to play it a few times before I shipped it out to G-Money and I really enjoyed the playability. Brian at SBMM did an outstanding job setting it up and hand picking a real beauty. Thanks Brian.

Thanks for the nice words guys, I definitely enjoy our friendship Gio, Bryan and many others here on the forum.

BTW, this is the AX40D, the main difference being that the "D" version has the actual, long sought after, Axis custom wound pickups made by DiMarzio, exclusively offered by EBMM. It really is quite a great guitar. Enjoy buddy!

Ya see folks, this is what the forum community is like when you've been around for a while and actually make meaningful contributions. Community. You'll build friendships here that can last for years. This is one the reasons why we have the For Sale rules - to encourage people to participate, to build relationships. Many a wonderful guitar are bought and sold here among people who know and trust each other, who help each other out when the cr*p hits the fan, and yes, sometimes, even gifts among forum friends. It's why I moderate here - giving a little back to the community that has brought me such pleasure over the years.

Congrats on a wonderful guitar, Gio. Mario, wonderful present.
