NGD: The Unicorn has landed

I came up with the name the name "unicorn" way back when BP first showed off the prototypes of the Albert Lee HH config along with the BP Al. Ever since that day, I've watched for signs and sightings of the unicorn...

Wife always asks me if I've spotted the unicorn. Today I told her:

I've finally captured one! BEHOLD!
Albert Lee HH with white pearloid pickgaurd!

This will do nicely since my Black Magic Crystal Axis neck pickup died. It came just in time too!

Played with it for about 20 minutes today... So far: Awesome!

The nut was fine. It just needed to be pushed back toward the fingerboard and tighten the hex screws. The neck pocket was within spec according to EBMM Customer Care. I loosened the 5 bolt and pulled the neck in a bit and then tightened the screws down. The contour now looks a bit better.

Yep, the neck pickup died over the weekend. Not sure why it just stopped working. I sent it in today to EBMM. Hope all will be well by the start of April. For now the unicorn is my new player!
