Got this one today. It's a JP6 BFR baritone in Emerald Burst quilt. Normally these come set up in Bb tuning w/ a .12-.62 set, but I set it up in B standard with a .13-.62 set. It friggin slays. It is amazing in every way. Totally flawless build quality and finish. It took me a while to try out the EBMM's but this is the 3rd I have gotten (sadly only still have 2) in the last couple of months and these things are damn fantastic. Perfect necks for me period. Cool thing is this thing really doesn't feel any different than a 25.5 even though it's a 27.5

That is so beautiful. Just curious; did you buy it off sevenstring.org? There was one just like that there for a while and I couldn't convince myself to get it :p

Frets are further apart though aren't they?

Yes the frets are further apart, but it's really not too noticable. Yes I did get it on ss.org. Got it in trade though. Me and Adam the dude that had it are buddies and when we get together bad ass guitars usually change hands :)

The easiest way to notice the scale difference is not really by playing it, but by seeing it next to a 25.5. Here is a crappy pic of it hanging on the wall next to my JPX.

Ok, yeah, I had a loomis guitar with the 26.5 scale and those frets were further apart too. I just didn't dig it for lead playing. And the added tension with the longer scale. I'd have to try a baritone one day just not sure I'd like em. I'm so used to the 25.5 scale!

I also had a Loomis at one time. The scale didn't bother me at all. If that thing didn't have those horrible huge EMG routes I never would have gotten rid of it.

I'm most certainly green right now. Especially since I was debating for the longest guitar whether I wanted to buy that guitar from Adam. Oh well, I'm happy with my latest purchase (Blue Dawn jp6) :)

Congrats!
