Nice Tone w/ Axis Tribute

Hi Tim. Yes, I have it back with me and had some fun with it the other day. I'd forgotten how bright she was with the maple fingerboard (in a good way, very lively) The trouble is, I have too many nice guitars and at the moment I have to force myself away from the AL and 25th. It's a good problem to have! The axis is like an old friend though and won't be ignored for long.

Funny thing is my JP6 was my main guitar for several years and that's the only one I never use nowadays. Same thing with my old high gain patches, I find myself using mainly clean or slightly dirty tones now. Must be old age, or as I prefer to think of it, mellow and mature! I'm starting to get some arthritis in my finger joints so have had to adapt my playing style which means fewer notes and less speed. I find it quite liberating tbh and have never enjoyed playing as much as I do now.

Likewise Simon, I have mellowed out too....it must be the age. However, I never could play that fast anyway. I am enjoying music more now than ever too....These guitars help with the enjoyment. If only I could get rid of this GAS. I want a 25th, and a Black Cherry Axis next!
