Question Nickel Wound And Coated? The difference?

Whats the difference between Nickel Wound and Coated Titanium strings? I'm gonna get a Hybrid Slinky. But i'm wondering if i should get the Nickel Wound version or Coated version. I'd like to know the difference and if the coated version is worth the extra $ 8.5!
