Yep, it's a new job day for me! Most of yall don't know my situation because I like to keep my personal life personal. I was laid off back in November due to lack of work because of the economy down here. I was collecting unemployment, but that barely gets you by, and the job market is pitiful down here. On June 2nd, my unemployment checks were cut off because the Senate has failed to pass an Unemployment Extension bill that they have been trying to pass since late May. So, basically for the last month and a half I've had no source of income besides my family occasionally helping me out. I simply refused to sell my Stingray, regardless of how bad thing were getting even though I knew selling it could have helped me out. Today I finally got offered a great job, so I'm back at work on Monday doing HVACR work again, and the best thing is, I still have all of my gear. Today, I'm going to kick back, pop open a few cold ones, and breathe a long sigh of relief. Now I can start saving up for reflex! Just thought I would share that with yall because this is the happiest I've been in 9 months.

Congrats
I currently work for a large, hi-end remodeling company and our business (over $50M per year) and our number of employees have been cut in half although we are starting to build it back
Glad you were able to keep your gear and that a good job starts soon

I always try to keep in mind the "modified" words of Cheech & Chong wisdom:
Times of having an EBMM and no job are far better than having a job and no EBMM!!!

Cool news on the employment!!! Even better on the no seperation from your Stingray!

Ps. Did I mention how really awesome I think your band is ?

Thanks for the compliments man, unfortunately the band is on a hiatus right now because were replacing two of the members, the singer and guitarist. Hopefully we'll find some talented musicians soon, and get this show back on the road. It's been nice taking a few weeks off from practicing and playing out, especially since this is the first time in over four years, but I'm ready to get back to it again!

If I could even count the number of times I have had to go through the band rebuilding process...... It could very well be a full time job in itself! One time somebody told me " Don't worry or be in a hurry to fill an empty spot in a band , because that is how you came to be looking in the first place. The chemistry of musicians who will work well together isn't some kind of magic , with a bunch of smoke and mirrors. It is just what it is ....chemistry. Be patient , and it will sort it's self out. And above all else , don't doubt who you are or second guess your vision. After all it is yours. "

So far so good for me.

Ps. I really liked you and your drummer's playing best !!!!
