No battery needed

Is my 2010 Stingray suppose to work with out a battery?

When you say "supposed to work" then the answer is no.

It will have a very weak output without a cell though.

It can, but you're not getting any signal from the preamp. Mine does, too, but sounds much better with a 9v.

OK, Bent the battery tabs up and its working fine...I always thought it wouldn't work at all with a dead battery. Good to know.
