Holy crap Batman! I played my Bongo last night at rehearsal through my main rig. This thing is incredible! So easy to play, mucho huevos, tone you can hang your hat on and it's beautiful to boot. I can't wait to get it on stage. Now I wish I had one when we recorded our CD. Oh well, it will definitely be around for the next one.

How's it compare to the Sterling (the neck, I mean)?

The more I hear 'bout this "Bongo", the more I'm thinking I'm missing something. Perhaps the fretless I see in my future is a Bongo???

Someone else will have to make that comparison. I've never played a Sterling.

According to the EB site the Bongo 4 nut width is 1-5/8" - just like a Stingray, so it's wider than the 1.5" Sterling.

Yep - noticed that...

I need to check one out - I'm thinking a single hummer fretless is all I need to "round-out" my (actively used) collection.

What does this have to do with eggs?

Huevos doesn't always mean eggs. :D

It can also refer to something that would remind you of sports equipment. Something used in tennis, golf, billiards or bowling but maybe having a different meaning. ;)

Think of it this way - Several words in english have more than one meaning and that is true for words in other languages, although the alternate usage is usually slang. Dogs can be canines or feet. An ass can be an animal, a derriere or a stupid person. Living in Texas and being around a lot of Mexican culture, you have a tendency to learn the slang quicker than you do the real language. In my case, I only know slang and menu items in spanish, so I guess that would make me the stupid person I mentioned.

My above posts were an attempt at "dry humor". I understand the concept of words with more than one meaning in more than one language, but.....it would be "funny" if I didn't.

Back to your scheduled program.... ;)

You know, for some reason I kind of figured you did, but I knew not everyone who read it would. If you had used a :D , I would have known for sure.

My feelings exactly! Just purchased my new Bongo HH a couple of days ago and the sound continues to amaze me. Last night I was comparing it to my Roscoe and man were those basses duking it out!!!!!!

Hey! What are you doing with my..... Oh, wait just a minute. Mine Bongo is here cozy in it's case. Never mind. BTW - Great looking bass. I hope to have my torg guard early next week.

HeHe - You have good taste! I haven't gotten the mod fever yet. Besides, I like the White Ice p/g. *Stupid question alert* Where do you order your p/g's, besides finding one on Ebay? On the EB MM site?
