Well I just saw in his Instagram he received a Carvin 7 strings... 10 minutes later I saw a seller with all his EBMM's for sale. Then I saw David Darocha receiving some Carvin basses also. Sucks since BOO is one of my favorite bands and they looked sick playing music man guitars. :(

This is always tough...We loved them but we didn't give them a signature guitar. Carvin did. Their communication with us has always been top notch and we will miss them and wish them well...I'm sorry that we weren't in a position offer them what they were offered elsewhere. I dont believe that there are any hard feelings on either party and we truly wish them nothing but the best...great band and wonderful people

Its true, I am friends with Lee and he basically said what the Big Bauss just said. He definitely loves his EBMMs :)

OK carvin are very nice people who make a good product....BOO is great too...It's business and sometimes things just dont work out.

The deal with sig guitars is that there are only so many racks at retail....unless you are really going to move the needle retailers dont buy or support them. I am not saying that this is the case here...but we had a different take than Carvin and that's fine.

I have the sales statistics and you would be surprised how small of sellers some of the most iconic legends are....The artists do it for exposure, branding, and money. Rarely is the money there that the artists think there is. Again this is not directed at this case...who knows?

The real money is in writing and selling tickets. If you can be one of the few that can monetize the gear you use then you are in rare air.

Thanks a lot for the clarification BP. Yes we'll miss them, can you tell us more about their history? How the endorsement started? Any fun episodes? :D

Cheers.

Romania ...that's a country ...in Europe :))
well it's very easy to understand why they did not get a signature MM
no one sell like JP these days :D
like a member here said a few days ago I think:
"I simply trust JP's opinions about guitar more than almost anyone else because he is so damned intelligent. His level of knowledge surpasses 99.999% of all other professional guitarists - not just his ability to play, but his understanding of the science of music. To me, he is the wise man on the top of the mountain. If a new JP guitar model were introduced, and it were nothing but an empty coffee can with a stick attached to it, I would probably still give him the benefit of the doubt."
:))))

Agreed. I think the same thing about Steve Morse. I find both JP and SM's instruments to be well thought out systems (even the old school Morse who's switching drives me bonkers. But you hear Steve explain it and it makes total sense). And they're not just re-hashings of the same thing with "Steve's preferred neck radius!"

The last thing the world needs is another signature stratocaster.

A lot if these guys have a fleet of mult. Brand of guitars. Mansoor has a new guitar every day from just about every maker in the world ! But if you look at lee and Holcomb and all those guys in the same way as a jp or vai signature your crazy. It just doesn't matter honestly in the big picture. Music man has JP Morse. Ect.
Honestly to sell my JP majesty for a carvin!? You'd have to pay me. Haha.

I agree with you. My bassist have a Carvin DC727 and also a Stingray Bass :D His Carvin is awesome, very well built and resonant, the neck profile is totally different compared to any JP series. I wouldn't trade my JP for a Carvin because I really like this guitars and this company. And I think there's no comparison between JP and Lee, it's a totally different type of musicians and a different generation. They're both good and Lee and the other young guys make a big impact in the young segment for example.

the one thing I would ask all of you is to be respectful of bopth the artist and Carvin. Carvin is a family owned business that is what it is and they do what they do well. I have nothing but respect for them and their business model
