My niece Beca was on the BBC TV prog Great British Bake off last year and she made it all the way to the semi finals.
well she was so "natural" on TV that the Welsh TV channel S4C gave her, her own 6 episode series called Becws (Welsh for Bakery) and she was filmed with all my family participating, including my 89 year old Mam filmed at her house in Splott  Cardiff, her husband who is in the Armed Forces & her brother - a fireman in London.
It goes out on S4C Thursday night at 8:25 pm GMT and has English subtitles
Review: Becws is S4C's star baker - Kate Rees - Wales Online

Becws

I'm hoping for another series and this time I think they should have "Uncle Spudmurphy" with his Albert Lee and curried egg sandwiches!!

Just thought I'd mention it

Wow, very exciting! I hope you are in an episode playing the AL. It'd be great to show off a fabulous guitar. Who knows, the show could easily lead to her own series.

Cheers - She has initially recorded 6 episodes for this series and it's looking good for a second series.
In episode 2 they show Beca cooking with my (89 year old) Mam, and Beca acknowledges her nan as a major influence.

The funny thing is that a comedy has recorded a sketch of beca and my Mam (with their permission) and it shows my mam constantly telling her what to do. It ends up with my Mam bound and gagged in the kitchen. I've seen it and it's funnier than I can put in words!
