My 25th has developed a really noisy (scratchy, crackly) tone pot. Is there an easy way to clean up the contacts on these or is it best to replace it with a new one? I've not used it much recently as I tend to use my AL 90% of the time.

Any advice gratefully received!

A quick spray of contact cleaner into the pot (like Deoxit D5) followed by quickly turning the pot should fix it up.

It's one of those products that's really handy to have around ... sooner or later, every guitar is going to develop a scratchy pot or noisy switch.

Exactly what I would do!

Excuse the noob question, but where exactly on the pot would one use the spray? I'd just like to know for future reference.

You would need to remove the access panel on the backside of the guitar and spray into a small opening on the side of the pot(s). The contact cleaner spray will come with a hose to make it easy to direct the spray flow
