I was wondering are there any plans to release a non-BRF version of the JPX?

Thank you

No plans as of now. im putting money on no. the jpx is the combo of the 3 woods and the chambered body. they'd have to possibly redisgn the chamber layout for the basswood body. and john is pretty much only using the bfr now. if you can get a bunch of people to show a huge desire for a standard JP with chambering and the 5 way switch you might get more clout.. you can always call JP up and ask him to have EB make one too... but that's assuming you are friends :)

but... you never know.

I'm sure the model will only see paint changes, and all the woods (BFR style) will stay.

As Sterling has said (I'm paraphrasing) ... the artist models are usually just a snapshot in time. They're always changing.

If JP wants to start doing something different like that, then they'll make it available. So I don't think you'll get an answer other than "not right now". Esp since this is a brand new guitar and they've released several models this year.
