Noob Serial Numbers Question

My apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but I did a quick search and didn't find any clear answers...

Is there any information that can be read by an EBMM serial number? I'd like to be able to tell what year a certain used guitar is...

And yes, I checked the "registration" thread to make sure it isn't a stolen guitar.

The only way to know the exact date of the guitar is by having EB run the serial number, there isn't a way to figure it out otherwise. Post it in that other thread and I'm sure 5stringer will get to it during the week!
