Oh my god!!! What have you DONE?!?!? Now it's totally worthless... firewood if you will. What in tarnation did you think you were DOING even PLAYING it?!?

Sheesh kids these days... playing MUSIC... on GUITARS for god sakes!!!

:D

Seriously... if you hadn't highlighted it I MIGHT have noticed it. If you're going to play your guitar, you may get scratches and dings in it occasionally. Just like if you drive a car, you probably will get a scratch or a dent or two in it over the years.

It's normal wear and tear and the only way to avoid that is to leave it in it's case and not play it... or play it in a hypoallergenically controlled, hermetically sealed room with latex gloves, no pick, and a velvet jumpsuit. You get the idea.

I'd leave it alone. Mine has three small dings in the back where the finish is actually cracked... I sealed it off with clear nail polish just to keep the paint cracks from spreading but man they look like meteor craters compared to that little dimple.

Take a deep breath and a drink of water and try to look at the glass as half full. ;) It still works... right?

Dings do suck but it's much better than snapping the headstock off:eek:

You got that right! Oh, it was a woeful day indeed back in the early 80's when I propped my Flying V ["just like Kirk Hammet's from Ride the Lightning, dude!"] against the back or a lazy boy chair that, I discovered pretty quickly, rocked. Once angled headstock met Mr. Floor, the only thing that kept the headstock and neck together were the strings. Yep, pure genius move.
