A huge public thank you to Norm, just when I need it most.

For those who missed the post, Norm was supposed to send me a cd of pics he took of me playing with my band and at the gc contest a couple months back.

But he never got around to it. So I called him out for it when Darrell said he was going to do something similar for Norm from Norm's webcast.

Anyway to make a short story long...a package just came from Norm that includes:

1. a cd of the pics. Wrapped with us holding our blue dawns.

2. A shirt with Norms logo on it. (may end up on ebay:D )

3. A framed photo of an extreme close up of my newest Luke, a piezo model in vintage sunburst with a caption above it using the ad slogan I suggested on another thread that reads "TAKE YOUR PLAYING TO THE NEXT LEVEL" along with the ernie ball luke logo

4. A shirt with THAT picture on it.

All this means a great deal as:

1. My birthday was this past monday.
2. My band officially broke up wednesday at 3pm pacific time.

Norm,

Many many thanks.

I remember how happy you were when you heard my sincere gratitude when I opened the shirt. Today I experienced your joy.

Before you put the shirt on ebay, be aware that is a good quality shirt. Have you considered using it as a car wash cloth. I bet your wheels will never shine brighter

The Luke shirt will be making it's debut at Game 2 of the NBA finals, Tuesday June 8th, in front of 19,000 people, television cameras everywhere, and a small army of media.

I can't wait. GO LAKERS

And I might be using NORM to clean LUKE;)

Check YOUR snail mail in the coming days for something that may inspire you for many years.

Thanks OC.

I finally had to pull the plug on the band. Did get a cd out of it that we did ourselves. No live shows unfortunately.

Hey Norm,

Any chance you could post that pic of the 2 of us displaying our blue dawns and the cool LUKE ad you worked up?

I love the fact that it could be anybody holding that guitar even though I know it's me. Gives it more of a universal vibe.

Because of the way I created this picture, I didn't think it would be possible to save it as a jpg. This is the fact I love:
You guys inspired me to do something that I have never done before as well as do something I didn't think was possible. That is why I stay here.

:D :) :D

Mail coming to Norm that he'll always cherish (unless he already has one, which is possible).

I had only one. Norm deserves it more. Stay tuned to see if he likes it. And uses it.

You know, I can't really support this hypothesis... and I hasten to add that I could even very well be wrong (I mean, sure, it doesn't happen very often, but it does happen... like, there was this time in 1983 when... oh, but I digress)... anyway, I'm beginning to think - and this is just a suspicion, mind you - I'm beginning to suspect that this Norm person might very possibly be a nice guy...

When gratitude meets inspiration...

And a new song is currently in the birthing process inspired by the mock Luke ad Norm did. Very Morse sounding.

Well, kinda Morse sounding.

Okay, okay if Steve was mildly retarded and played Luke's.

Working title is "PIC OF THE LITTER".

I'll record the main themes and then send it to Norm so he can take it to the next level.:)

Norm, are you 12 feet tall? That guitar looks like a madno or uke in your hands! Anyway, great pics, and in my limited dealings with Norm, I can confirm that he is a nice guy.

I am 6' 4". People have commented that silos look really small when I play them. I quit playing my steinberger when I got my first silo so I am stepping up in size.

Norm,

This is my favorite thread since the old Marketing Bonanza one.

KEITH

PS If you're 6'4, that must make me...like 5'5.

Hey Keith, no worries, if that is the case, then it makes you about Joe Satriani's height, and he is pretty good...

Norm, the thought of you with a Stein is great! That probably looked really cool! Anyway, you guys all rock, so have a wonderful day!

Thanks for that. Looks similar but the What Guitar one is much deeper red with no yellow in the centre! It might be the photo but the headstock colour sync is perfect so I doubt it. I'm just wondering if it can be ordered to go from the red through t othe burnt outer without the yellow. Wish I could show you the picture and you could see what I mean!
