Was just playing my Ray when the output went low (like there was no battery in it) the last time this happened one of the wires connected to the battery compartment had come off. Its just happened again, so thats the 2nd time since late last year. Its getting really annoying now, has this ever happened to anybody?
 
Nope.

I remember trying to take the input jack screws out so I could give the jack a nice polish, then it fell out & I lost a connection.

But that was me being a stupid a$$hole

ya, that kinda thing sucks although it hasn't happened to me BUT recently a guy had to borrow my Bongo for his set because his Tyler bass had had something go wrong with the electronics i n it, so don't get too down on EBMM, sometimes things like this just happen, albeit a pain in the butt. :o
 
well as long as its not just me, its not a MAJOR issue, as its only a bit of soldering work, but im playing tomorrow, and if it had happened whilst I was playing, I wouldnt have been a happy man.
 
So I took a closer look, and when you flip the battery compartment open, the red and black wires move with it... the black one must have had a smaller amount of solder on it or something, as the red one seems fine.
 
Coincidence, something similar happened to me a week ago. I didn't post about it because I couldn't fix if it came from the amp or from the Bongo, and I was waiting to see if it happened again.

I was playing with my band and the volume suddenly became very slow. I putted everything down (gain, volume on bass and amp) and then up again, but the problem lasted. I checked the batteries ; were OK. As I plucked the bass again, the volume was OK. Played for a while and the volume get down again. I stopped playing, went home, sleeped (it was late) and the next evening, as I tried to play, the volume was still down. I picked my old bass, to fix if it was the amp or the bongo. The volume was ok with the old bass so I plucked the bongo again to check, but then the volume was also ok, so I couldn't fix what it was. Since this time, I played 2 times with my band for almost 4 hours and nothing happened again.

Do you have any opinion about what could this problem be ? In any case, I'll have to watch that "issue", and if I have mor infos I'll post again about it.

battery size?

Could any of these problems have to do with the battery size? I remember Jongitarz posting a few times about different brands/types of 9-volt batteries varying in size just enough to cause a little havoc in those compartments.
 
Yeah, duracell work the best apparantly, that could be your problem, i've tried batteries that were too small, and they cut out whenever they wanted to.
 
The batteries are the Duracell the factoru has put in the bongo (after 7 month playing, they are still "half" full). I'll check for the tabs. If it's a batterie issue, wouldn't it result in having no sound anymore and not just a very low volume ?
