Hi there, I'm planning on purchasing in the near future. I know there(axis's) are all wonderful guitars. So at this point its all about the color, hehe. Problem is i cannot find one that suits me. i've come close though. The EVHs had some really nice colors that you can't seem to get anymore

on the music man web site I found the cherry burst to be my fav color. problem is I already got a cherry burst like les paul(ride wine). Although the cherry burst looked orange for some reason which is why it caught my attention. can someone clear this up for me who has actaully seen this color. if it is more on the orange side, then that's a good thing for me. I like the bright colorful colors.

besides that, I'm looking for a color that really stands out. those light bright blue qualted EHV's were cool. A pink one would be nice(but they don't make that in the axis, booo). a white quilted or trans guitar would be my top pick. I'm not sure if they can actaully do that as a paint job though.

so anyways, check this site out and look at the cherry burst. my les paul looks more like the trans red. I just want to be sure that the cherry burst isn't going to be red. and more on the bright orange side.

thanks for reading this long past. thanks for the help.

the picture might just make it the color brighter then it really is, you think?

I agree, there aren't enough color options... Do you realize that I own seven Axes, all different colors, and not one of them is the exactlyperfectlypersonally right color for me?!? I mean, if you guys would produce something in a day-glo fuscia with limegreen metalic highlights, I'd be set, but as things are, I'm just going to have to keep buying Axis guitars in different colors until I find the one!

Aside: has anyone else but me ever noticed that you actually have to stop playing and hold your guitar away from your body to see what color it is? unless you have a lot of mirrors around, I suppose...

Anyway, I'm going to go tell my wife that I have to keep buying Axes because none of mine are the right color... If you don't hear from me in a few days, send out a search party! :D

I was thinking about that the other day (while) I was obsessing about colours).
The colour is important because you have to love it, and make you want to play the guitar, and drool over it. But as you say, when you're playing, you cannot see it too much. :p

Just tell her that she needs 47 pairs of shoes to go with her wardrobe, and that you need many guitars to go with your various jeans and t-shirts! ;)

Hey lets not run the guy away. OVer the years we have probably made every basic color in the color wheel. Green is an old story. When we dont make em people have to have them, when we make them no one buys them. The market dictates color selection. We make about 320 instruments a week over a spread of over 70,000 choices. That is probably why you were jumped on with this.

Keep in mind that with the guitar when we add a color it is like adding 10 models, matching, non matching, trem, no trem, mm90's, humbuckings...balh blah blah

The best way in your quest is to get the closest one play the sh@t out of it, and scour your favorite vintage/usec
stores and sites aqnd maybe one that we have discontinued will float you boat.
