But it is stealing serious play time from my 07LE SR4HP!

My newest baby began life in SLO, went to CT, returned to the left coast in SoCal, traveled up the northwest to Victoria BC, braved 20 foot seas around Kodiak Island in AK, back to SF CA and then finally home again to SoCal.

And I never had to fiddle with the factory set up.:)

Thanks again to BP and EBMM for making such nice basses. I can't wait to see the new model!

We were just discussing the SmallEQ Bongo last night.

The SmallEQ himself was in from Chicago and showed up in the flesh:

BTW, not to hijack it too badly - that new Sterling is delicious.

BTW, I caught a bit of teasing after I changed my order from H to HS 5 minutes after BP recommended the latter config but now I am glad that Sterling intervened and I listened. That single coil has a very unique sound. It's sort of thumpy but not overwhelmingly so. The midrange control interacts with it in a very different way compared to the big bridge bucker. Additionally position 4 lays down a solid low midrange foundation for everyone to play on.

And of course, the Sterling 5 is probably in the running for the most compact and lightest 5er in its price range. You can get smaller ones (Cort) but you won't get the build quality.

Awesome basses. Just noticed that Dargie Strap, did that come with the bass? If not tell me where to buy one!
