Just wanted to see how the True Gold Sterling looks and plays with a Rosewood FB (I like it very much). This demonstrates the high manufacturing standards that EBMM produces too. The setup only needed to be tweeked a little bit. Took me 15 minutes to do :)

Since i love my Big Al with the maple fretboard, I guess this sounds really good that way. It looks good anyway...

I did not think the difference would be that noticeable but it is. The Big Al has brightened up and the Sterling is a bit mellower. This is even noticeable unplugged.

The Maple sound really suits the BA well, I honestly like the Maple sound more than the Rosewood. Really brings out the SSS configuration well.

Same holds true for the Sterling the slightly mellow sound of the Rosewood really sounds great with the Humbucker.

I'm afraid I might end up keeping these as frankenbasses for a while.

Wow, glad it was an easy transformation. Personally, after 10 years of thinking I might prefer maple, I 100% prefer rosewood. Not sure why, but I think I just like a nice dark board on a bass.

They both look great :)
