Ok, here's the deal. I went into my local music store and I see this Big Al 4 SSS white pearl (I already have a black one). And it is selling for about 1/3 less than it should. Turns out someone returned it after 30 days (weird) and so they are selling it as used. It still had the plastic protection on the pick guard on it. So I had to buy it. I leave one at my buddy's house where we rehearse weekly and another at home of course

Now here is the question. My black Big Al is strung with Cobalts. Sounds great. Cuts through like none other.

What should i string the white pearl Big Al? Cobalts again because I love that sound? Or something different to get a different sounding bass?

(I know I need to post some pics of ebony and ivory side by side).

String it with standard Super Slinky's and see how they compare to the Cobalts. Maybe do a side by side comparison video or something?
