Thanks Colin, the verbs/choruses, delays are amazing. All the other effects are incredible as well. I updated to the latest software and I'm really digging the univibe. Its such a wacky sound, but I love it! When are you getting your G-System?

I'll be posting some more demos in the next few days hopefully. I'm just trying to get over this bad cold that I have.

If i had the money now mate then id pull the trigger but my fiance would kill me so i will have to wait til later on this year fingers crossed!:D

The button layout looks like the Pod XT Live...and every other foot controller...can't make it too much different than all the other products out there. It's the DSP chips and software that really counts anyway.

Congrats on the G System! That looks really nice, I haven't tried one. Before I converted to a tube amp, I got to own a Boss GT-8, which I like (and has pretty much the same layout as the POD XT LIVE). Nowadays with my amp, I use it via the 4 cable method and it's really cool and convenient. I'm actually kind of torn right now, because I have a potential buyer for the Boss GT-8 and I would be aiming to get some new effects, either all analog or via G-Major 2 with a midi controller in order to make presets/patches. Any opinions?

Sorry about hijacking your thread, I've heard only positive things about TC Electronics, but I havent used any of their products. Phil could you describe what makes it so great? Is it the circuitry? How are the delays like. I know I could probably google for technical details, but I would rather read your opinion as a guitarist and fellow forumer. :D

Maybe the G-System would be the way to go... :)

If you want a floor based setup, or a rack based setup (which the G-System can do both), I'd say the G-System would be the way to go. The G-System has basically all the same effects from the G-Force. TC is well known for their lush sounding choruses/delays etc. I used to own a G-Major, as well as the TC Nova Delay, and the G-System sounds even better than those two units. The effects sound pristine, crisp, and lush. The delays/choruses/reverbs are some of the best I've heard.

The user interface on the G-System is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. I'm a tweaker by nature, so I love discovering sounds and programming patches (thats half the fun for me), and what makes this unit even cooler is that not only can you update your software from your computer when a new one is available, there is also a preset editor that lets you create/load/edit patches right from your computer. This is a very cool idea, if you don't wanna kneel down and tweak the knobs on the actual unit. If you're looking for a great unit, I would definitely try the G-System. Its totally worth it.
