Had my modded SUB at rehersals tonight..WOW it sounded KILLER through my Engl Blackmore and a Marshall 4x12. It felt great to hold and was just screaming when i needed it to. It was so amazing that it is getting gigged tomorro night instead of the ASS.

Its modded with a Bareknuckle Mule in the neck and a Sidewynde (made in Scotland) lancehead in the back. I've had it further modded with a push pull to give me the ASS combo as well as a single coil at the neck.

Next mod is is a swril scratchplace (blue) from pickguard heaven..

Do youself a favour...................pick up a SUB.

I'm a Bassist whose "Sound" isn't primarily EB/MM Basses, but realizing as a session/live gig player that having their "Classic Tone" in my Toolbox could only be a good thing, I purchased a barely used SUB Sterling in '05, and after playing it more and more over the past year or so (the Better-Half and I moved, so during the packing-moving-unpacking cycle my SUB Sterling was the only bass unpacked and playable for a good portion of the time) my enjoyment for its tone and playability had risen so much I just got a steal on a SUB 5 this week that should be arriving early next. In my personal Cost/Quality estimation they're actually up their with "small builder" shops that put out small amounts of extremely high quality instruments, and from my POV their USA-built, only costs cut were the "Production Time" aspects of the instruments are of higher value *to me* than the current SBMM Basses (which are nonetheless also very highly "rated" basses in their price range).

I've played my Sub more than all my other guitars, it needs a refret now. I like it as much as my others, but it feels very close to the Morse.
