*Disclaimer* This ain't about politics, just a strange story.

Beth, my wife, got a call from one of the board members this afternoon asking her to attend a dinner tonight. It must be some sort of fancy function deal, The President of the United States is going too! :D

That means the silverware should be worth stealing. Tell her to take a big purse. :D

Heh--it was the only thing I could think of while leaving politics out of it. ;)

Seriously, that's pretty cool. She sounds like quite a catch. You must have been really, really good in a previous life. I kid, I kid...

Well BP, the drop off went pretty good and the weeks have rolled along pretty well… till last weekend!

All hell broke lose last week, it’s a long putrid story and I don’t want to bore you, but here are the Cliff Notes…

My Daughter was rooming with her 1st cousin; we had to jump over many hurdles to make that happen. I never liked the idea, but went along with it figuring the meltdown would happen in a couple of days. But they seemed to get along fine, so I stopped worrying (ok, worried less).

Cut to last week… The cousin is in some sort of uncontrollable rage, tantrum… $hit-fit! Basically according to the said cousin, Carly is ruining her life… and so on and so on. I’ve seen this type thing before, you know “band bus cabin fever”.

So to make this long short version shorter, after the standard RD meeting, I went and moved Carly to another dorm room, new room mate and all.

Did I mention we are paying this cousin’s way thru school?

nothing worse than ungrateful family chuck. My parents flew mums sister out from scotland one year... never got a thank you.. she bitched about mum to the rest of the family while she was here... and if you know my mum there is not much too bitch about other than out of jealousy because she is a bit better off financially than the rest of the family (and her children are all supremely talented and intellegent). ANYWAY i understand your pain.... its so weird that often indirect family can be so painful.

I had lunch in Chicago with a guy whose wife is having dinner with the President!

How did an old musico like yourself marry so well Mr. Ward? You need to brag bunches about her.

I would have told the cousins to work it out. I reckon you did the right thing there too.

Have a very enjoyable dinner with the president Mrs. Ward.

Cool, Chuck! I heard something on the news about the Prez having a dinner in one of the Carolinas.

(You can tell how into the news I am, huh? :D )

Chuck,

Cut that cousin off and spend your money buying EBMM guitars for me instead! :D

Don't forget to have Mrs. Psycho Ward tell the Prez how great EBMM instruments are!

Chuck you just keep doing what you are doing. Real life is just that.
You and the wife are doing awesome IMHO

Now how we do the kids :)

Shouldn't we teach them about the hard times they will face?

We have walked that mile already.

Kids do need to suffer. We all hate it when ours suffer.

We get the big F on teaching that sometimes just cuz we are softies.

Life is just that.

Cave men had to hammer the tunnels or stick the spear into the meat.

Our kids order a hamburger.

Dang it. I think parents are at fault.

I always blame the parents... It is our responsibility alone to ensure our children are raised with the proper values and respect for themselves and others.

Could be some one dropped the ball with the cousin...

It is the wisest of the wise that can learn from other peoples experiences and mistakes. Alas, the youngest amongst us must experience most things in order to learn...

It was easy to learn in the old days. Do it or get your ass whipped. :)

I trust Mrs. Ward had a great dinner. I can say I know someone who's wife.....
