I am looking into replacing my current multi-effects processor with a several smaller pedals on a pedal board, and am looking into Electro-Harmonix after several great reviews and suggestions from local bass player friends. But I turn to those guitar players on this forum for an answer to a question that my friends couldn't answer.

What is the difference between a normal sized EHX pedal (Small Clones, Small Stones, Bassballs) and the Nano pedal versions? Is it just size, or are they different in tone as well because of the smaller package!

Thanks for the help guys!

I had a Small Clone, that I thought was very very good. I later got rid of it in favor of a Fulltone Choralflange. Then I wanted to try something smaller & simpler - just for kicks. So I tried the nano clone - all I can say is.....noise, noise, noise. No thanks.

The Small Clone seems to sound very good. I've always wondered how transparent it really is, though. Haven't heard it through a decent amp yet.

steer away from nano pedals. Noise, noise, noise, on the distortion - bathroom reverb. That line of pedals is utter ****e... trust me
