Hi all,

Been away for a while- work has been crazy and I have been busy getting a new band together- but anyway, good to be back:)

I believe limitk7 posted on these little GK's some time last year, and I chimed in saying I was thinking about getting hold of one...well, I did, and here it is.

If you need a compact amp for rehearsing or small gigs, all I can say is "look no further". I used this at practice last night, and I had no problem cutting through a drumkit piloted by a mentalist, and a very loud guitar- considering the size of this thing, that is going some- and it wasn't even cranked fully:eek:

Tone's great too- I'm beginning to see what our resident GK afficionados (GeeKs?!?) are on about regarding the Stingray/GK combination- yep, kicks ar$e!

Cheers,

BF

good call :)

I use this setup and it's a good enough sound for me to have sold my main 1500W rig to concentrate on this.

both 4 and 5 Bongos sound wonderful through it :)

plus I've got a carrying bag so I can sling it over my shoulder .

Hi Paul,

That EBS cab looks great...does make me think- I can forsee a time when I get sick of carting washing machine sized cabinets around. (No, wait- I am already) I guess you line-out your amp in a live situation?

Cheers,

BF

If I posted something about a Bongo / GK combination, would you go get a Bongo too :D ?

Congrats on your acquisition. I love this little amp.

Heh, I had to talk like hell to get amp number three under the wire- I think I'll let the dust settle before I make any noises about a Bongo:D

Still, I keep looking at those Sapphire Black ones...it's OK, Mrs BF doesn't read this!

Cheers

My home amp is my 200MB into my RBH 1x15. The combination of the 10" speaker in the 200MB and the 15" in the RBH 1x15 are just delightful.

I don't even unpack my 1001RBII from practice any more.

I'd love to have one of those little GK microbass amps to carry around the house with me when my wife kicks me out of the office/music room. :D
