O/T Photobucket problems

I noticed yesterday that some of your pictures didn't load in the threads that use photobucket. I can't even get to photobucket.com, it says it can't find the server.

I wanted to load you guys a picture of my amp and SR4, but I can't.





If they banned my for my other infamous picture wouldn't they have notified me?

I've ran every adware program I've got, still can't go to photobucket, every other site works fine... any ideas?

it appears that they've updated the site - i just logged in and you hav to agree to a bunch of new "terms on conditions"...

worls fine for me ... what's the exact text of the error in your web browser?

if you're on Windows try this:

1) open the command prompt
- goto: Start->Run-> type in "cmd" (without the quotes) and hit ender
2) now see if you can ping them
- in the command window type "ping photobucket.com"
- it should report something like "64 bytes from 38.99.224.5: icmp_seq=0 ttl=xxx time=xxx ms"

Now if if get an error saying "Unknown host" then there's a DNS issue ... aka: your ISP's name server is on crack

you might wanna try a traceroute ...

3) in the command window type "tracert photobucket.com" and lemme know what it says.

my guess if your computer is fine ... if you got banned you wouldnt get something that sounds like a DNS error. Something between you -> isp-> photobucket.com is whacky. it should clear itself up ... if not, congrats, you broke the internet

ya sometimes some route point gets jack and actually things should reroute but eh ... glad its cleared up.

Photobucket is still down over here in the Road Runner's valley cable service. The service has become really slow and flakey as of late so I've been thinking of switching over to fiber optics! Verizon offers it at the same rate I'm paying for this lousy cable service. Now I just need to get off my arse and do something about it.
