Well, actually, this is where I have been for the last few days!

TOMRANCH.jpg

The Phantom Ranch. Now THAT is a remote jobsite!

Lucky for me, today I am on top of the canyon looking down!

If you've never been to the Grand Canyon, all I can say is.......

MOVE YOUR A$$!!

It's unbelievable!

Is that picture from the South rim? Visited the canyon a few years ago...it is one of those places that are too hard to put into words. Very cool worksite!

Me = jealous!

WOW! The Grand Canyon is truly one of the wonders of the world. I've been there a couple of times, and hiked down to the "red" part -- (hahahaha, the red striation of dirt down there) - it's not even halfway to the bottom and it took us all day!

My brother in law is a search and rescue EMT coordinator there. If you see the chopper flying around he's onboard. Yup they (his family) have to live in the Grand Canyon, and have 24/7 nice views.

Being a desert dweller it is funny seing the "Don't hike past this point." signs. So used to planning for hiking in desiccated areas that forget others aren't used to the brutal Arizona sun and heat.

No. That's something like 90 miles from where we were. And it's 27 miles on unpaved roads. Either way, I have no desire to see it.

Cool.....did you take the Dam tour ?:D

No........ I was working.

Wow...that's beautiful! I haven't seen the Grand Canyon yet, but that's a trip I'd definitely love to make.

I'm still kicking myself for not going to the Canyon on my honeymoon 7 years ago; we were right there in Las Vegas! :mad:
